Last week here at the Green Mouth is was all about the super-foods. This week it’s all about why an Healthier lifestyle.
Embarking on a healthy journey or even making just a few changes to your diet, it’s never too easy, changes require commitment and dedication. It isn’t difficult to enjoy being healthy but the issue is that people have forgotten what being healthy actually means. It is extremely important to remember that healthy is delicious and doesn’t mean going on a diet; we all know that diets simply do not work for long term. Which is why making that decision to switch to a healthier lifestyle is so important.
To some being healthy may be considered sacrificing good food, not all. I’m a big foodie, I love to eat, and I eat real food. To me healthy actually involves an abundance and variety of delicious foods flavored with herbs, spices and a good blend of fruits, vegetables, meats and fish.
Losing weight alone shouldn’t be the driving force behind wanting to adopt a healthier lifestyle. You should do it for you, for your health, your happiness.
My approach towards healthy eating is if you slip up, no big deal. Swiftly pick up the pieces and move on.
