Ditching the bad eating habits for a healthier YOU

People always ask me how they can eat healthier, as they find it super difficult to stay on track. Unhealthy eating is mainly caused by sneaky bad habit you developed without even realizing it. It’s not just willpower or a lack thereof that makes us overeat and gain weight.
It can be extremely hard to determine what these habits are, because you have become accustomed  to them, so I have gather a small list of some of the main culprits. Quick note if you do some of the things on the list it doesn’t mean you are an unhealthy eater, it’s only an issue if  you do them on a daily basis

Remember Ladies, shake it up nutrition is key. Your body is an amazing machine! and healthy eating is the most important part of weight loss. Start thinking differently about your lifestyle.
The mindless eater
This is one of those habits can that turn unhealthy very quickly. If you are one of those people that are constantly snacking while watching TV, surfing the internet,  then you are probably eating a lot more than you are aware of.
Keep only healthy snacks within reach. Don’t stock your with pantry potato chips or any other junk food. What you eat makes a huge difference, choose healthier food.

The breakfast skipper
I’m guilty of this one at time, with so many other tasks competing for my attention in the morning, skipping breakfast does happens, not  often.. but having breakfast is the most important meal of the day.It gives you the boost of energy that you need to start your day. Without this, the chances of you overeating later in the day are higher. You may also find yourself endlessly snacking, because your body is craving nutrients. When in a rush grab a  whole fruit, yogurt, homemade energy balls or smoothies

Emotional Eating
If your ‘comfort food’ is generally junk food, and you use it as a source of happiness for every time you are feeling upset or angry - this could lead to a bad habit you definitely want to stay away from. It is okay to indulge every once in awhile, however be aware that you shouldn't turn to food each time you are feeling down or stressed. Instead, try to replace this habit with something like exercise. Even a simple walk will boost your feel good hormones and leave you in a better mood, it just that easy

Binge Eating on Weekends
Restricting  your eating all week so you can go on full out binges during the weekend? it’s really bad. This type of eating may impact your weight in the long run, because it is not balanced or sustainable. Depriving yourself and then eating past your ‘full’ point because you ‘deserve it' creates a super unhealthy mentality that can be hard to shake. Sticks to healthier eating habits don't cut out all your favorite foods, and deprivation.
Instead, eat a balanced diet with the occasional treat. Embrace healthy eating and try not to look at it like a chore.

Ladies remember bad habits are made to be broken, small changes leads to big progress

Happy Green Life xoxo
